Blue Ridge Rising is a non-profit initiative of Rising Light Relief.
We offer a classic soda fountain, with homemade sodas, lemonades, teas, floats and shakes, as well as family-style meals. Each meal is nutritionally balanced and pre-cooked, ready to take home and reheat in 20-30 minutes, and is priced at $5 to $7.50 per person.
We also offer a tool rental library, resource center, and free food pantry - as well as a point of contact to request rebuilding aid.

Blue Ridge Rising is the next step in the journey that began with Rising Light Relief. After months of delivering meals, supplies, and support in the wake of disaster, we’re building something lasting—a community-rooted space focused on nourishment, connection, and care.
This isn’t a new mission—it’s the same heart, evolved. A welcoming spot to pick up comforting Southern meals and enjoy a touch of 1950s nostalgia with house-made sodas and floats. From flood response to food security, Blue Ridge Rising carries that light forward—one meal, and one neighbor, at a time.
